What it does:
Blackmores Acidophilus Bifidus provides lactic acid bacteria to help maintain optimum levels of friendly intestinal flora, which assist and promote proper digestive function. May help to relieve wind, diarrhoea and bloating. Of benefit during and after antibiotic therapy to prevent the side effects antibiotics can have on the delicate friendly intestinal flora.
What is in it?
- Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium lactis - normal inhabitants of the human intestine, responsible for producing lactic acid. This acidifies the intestinal contents, assisting in the maintenance of digestion and preventing the growth of 'hostile' organisms in the digestive tract. Lactobacillus acidophilus also maintains vaginal health by producing lactic acid and decreasing colonisation by unwanted organisms.
