Slippery Elm bark acts as a demulcent and emollient in the gastrointestinal tract, reducing inflammation of the gastric mucosa and relieving the symptoms of heartburn, gastritis, flatulence, indigestion, halitosis and mouth ulcers caused by poor digestion.
Fennel exhibits carminative, stimulative and anti-spasmodic activity, relieving flatulence and colic whilst stimulating digestion. Ginger is a carminative herb that promotes gastric secretion and is beneficial in dyspepsia, flatulence and colic. Gentian is stimulating to the appetite and digestion and promotes the production of saliva, gastric juices and bile.
