What it does:
Musashi P40 Protein Bars are a convenient and nutritious food bar which fills a need for a food which is high in protein and essential fats and low in carbohydrates.

What is in it?
Each bar contains four protein sources, contributing a HUGE 40 grams of high-grade protein and are made from only the highest quality ingredients:
- Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC) - offers an extremely pure, low lactose, whey protein powder
- Whey Protein Isolate (WPI) - an incredibly clean and pure protein that is extremely easy to digest.
- Ionised whey protein - Has significant advantages over other proteins, principally its bioavailability. Most weight trainers require large protein portions in their diets to accommodate full muscle recovery from their gruelling workouts. It takes your body time and vast amounts of digestive enzymes to break proteins down for absorption. Your body does not have a limitless supply of these digestive juices, so when they run out so does your protein absorption. The other thing that people often forget is that this process takes time.
- Ionised whey - Being composed mainly of very short chain proteins - di and tri peptides as well as amino acids - does not require much in the way of digestion, so enzyme efficiency is increased and the time required for digestion is much less. This means that after consuming WPI amino acids reach your bloodstream on their way to your muscle tissue much faster than after eating normal food.
- Soy Protein Isolate (Supro) - The humble soy bean is often overlooked by many sports people, however the first thing to note is that it is one of the best sources of protein for vegan and vegetarian diets. Soy protein is included to round out the amino acid profile in the P40 Bar. This means you have a complete profile of amino acids providing for the requirements of building muscle and recovery.
- Calcium Caseinate - In addition to the protein provided by calcium caseinate, this protein also provides (as the name suggests) the valuable mineral calcium. Calcium is important to bone, tendon and muscle growth.
- Flaxseed Oil - Flaxseed oil contains a high amount of Omega 3 super-polyunsaturated fatty acids, which can be very beneficial in assisting control of cholesterol, skin, joint and weight problems.
P40 bars come in two great tasting flavours - Choc Hazelnut, Choc Berry and are covered in delicious milk chocolate.
