The antioxidants Zinc, Copper, Beta-carotene and Vitamins C & E are significant nutrients for the macular region, retina and lens of the eye; (AREDS Research). Lutein and Selenium also help protect the eye through increasing the density of the macular pigment. (The LAST Study).
