Fusion Cold & Flu contains Echinacea to shorten the duration of common cold symptoms, plus herbs traditionally used to relieve common cold and flu symptoms:
- Runny or congested nose, traditionally relieved by echinacea in Western herbal medicine
- Cough, traditionally relieved by balloonflower in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)
- Sore throat, headaches, mild fever and chills, which are relieved by Japanese Catnip based on traditional use in TCM when a symptom pattern known as external wind-cold is present
Also contains Honeysuckle and Forsythia, which are often taken together in TCM.
- Echinacea is traditionally used to reduce common cold duration - Echinacea is native to North America, and has a long history of use in Western herbal medicine, where it has traditionally been used to relieve symptoms of common colds and flu including a blocked or runny nose and mild fever. Echinacea is also traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to support the immune system to fight illness, such as the symptoms of common colds, and relieve symptoms of mild tonsillitis. Plus, Echinacea decreases the length of common colds
- Balloonflower is traditionally used to relieve common cold symptoms in TCM - Balloonflower is a popular herb in Chinese medicine where it’s traditionally used to reduce symptoms of the common cold including cough. It’s also traditionally used in TCM to clear mucus in the respiratory tract and enhance lung health
- Japanese Catnip and Forsythia - Japanese Catnip is another well utilised herb in Chinese medicine, where it’s traditionally used to relieve sore throat, headaches, and mild fever when a symptom pattern known as external wind-cold exists
- Fusion Cold & Flu also contains Forsythia, which is traditionally used in TCM to relieve symptoms of common cold and flu including mild fever and headaches, when the symptom pattern of wind-heat exists
- Fusion Cold & Flu also contains Honeysuckle, a popular Chinese herb which has been used for centuries. Honeysuckle and Forsythia are often taken together in Chinese medicine

Each tablet contains herbal extracts dry concentrate:
- Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea) root 156.25mg, dry equiv. 937.5mg
- Balloonflower (Platycodon grandiflorus) root 75mg, dry equiv. 750mg
- Japanese catnip (Schizonepeta tenuifolia) herb 75mg, dry equiv. 750mg
- Forsythia (Forsythia suspensa) fruit 100mg, dry equiv. 1.5g
- Honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica) flower 30mg, dry equiv. 300mg
